Winter Reading For Adults

 Winter Reading 2020

 Catch Some

The Wolcott Community Public Library is excited to present our Winter Reading Program!  This year's theme is "Catch Some Reading Rays!"  The 2020 Winter Reading Program is open to ADULTS ONLY and runs for six weeks, starting on January 6th.  Books must be checked out from the Wolcott Community Public Library or through Inter-library loan.  E-books downloaded from the library system will also count.  All readers must read at least six books to complete the reading program.  A ticket will be given for each book that is read and will be entered into a gift basket raffle of the participant's choosing.  A winner will be drawn for each gift basket at the end of the program.  Each individual who completes the program will receive a goody bag and may pick it up at the library up to a week after February 17th.

Those interested may sign up anytime between December 30th and January 18th at the Wolcott Library.  When signing up, you will receive a booklet with instructions and important dates regarding the program.  The Winter Reading Program will run from January 6th to February 15th, 2020.  If you have any questions, you may contact the Wolcott Library at 279-2695 or go to our website at

Dear Patrons:

It has been a difficult decision but the Wolcott Community Public Library will be closing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Our last day to be open will be Thursday, March 19th.  We have not set a date in which we will re-open.  When Governor Eric J. Holcomb lifts his order that Hoosiers remain in their homes except when they are at work or for permitted activities, we will give a date when we will open.

Any items that are checked out have a due date of April 28th.  All late fees during this time will be forgiven.  Our digital resources, including eBooks, magazines, and audiobooks will remain available on Overdrive.  If you have a green Evergreen card you are able to access Overdrive for free. If you have never signed up for this service please call the library and we will assist you in getting started.

Times to call for assistance are limited to Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  If no one is available when you call, please leave a message and we will call you back asap.

Wi-Fi will be available from our Parking Lot.  We just ask that you call the library during the hours listed above.  We also ask that you limit access time of 2 hours. This is intended to give Internet access to students and other patrons who need it.

We are sorry for this inconvenience, but the library is committed to keeping its staff, and its community safe and healthy.  We will open our doors ready to resume normal activities as soon as we feel it is safe to do so.
